Children's activities at
The Rod and Gun Club

The Rod and Gun Club offers activities for family members of all age groups. For children to young to shoot shotguns we offer several outdoor activities.

Kids fishing on our pond

Located minutes away from our shop, our pond has a large population of Large Mouth Bass and several species of panfish. Bait and rod rental are available at our shop. All children under the age of 16 do not require a P. A state fishing licence.

Rates:
Pond passes
Adults: $10.00 per 4 hours
Children Under 16: $5.00 per 4 hrs

Rentals including Pond Passes youth or adult
$6.25, two hour minimum

Kids Fly Fishing Lesson

Our Orvis Endorsed fly fishing guides are available by appointment only for kids. A two hour introductory session is now available for kids that may have an interest in this sport that will stay with them for life. Our instructors will teach the basics of fly casting and how to use different types of flies to catch panfish and bass on our pond and trout in the stream when possible. Watching fish splash on a dry fly or bass popper will keep them hooked on fishing for good.

Rates:
$60.00, additional students are $30.00
Equipment and flies are included
Waders or wet wading shoes suggested, changing rooms are available at the club house.

BB Gun Range

BB gun

We will safely teach your children about firearms and range safety white they have fun learning how to shoot paper targets at our BB gun range. Kids will enjoys a half hour of shooting sports with the fundamentals of correct firearm handling and techniques being taught by our professional staff. Recommended ages 5 and up.

Rates:
1/2 hour of range time $15.00 per shooter

Archery Instruction and Range Time

Our staff is filled with avid archers. Come enjoy the challenging sport of archery at our new archery complex. Learn how to accurately shoot a bow and arrow with modern target equipment. Archery is available to all children capable of drawing the sting back with steadiness and control. Recommended for ages 8 and up.

Rates:
1/2 hour of range time $15.00 per bow

Group and Corporate events

The Rod and Gun Club staff are experts at planning Fly Fishing and Shooting Sports events for your next family reunion or Corporate outing. Our specialty is offering a truly personalized service that combines fun with faultless planning. Currently The Rod and Gun Club is proud to offer group fly fishing on our private managed trout water, Orvis Endorsed Fly Fishing school, private Sporting clays events such as clinics and tournaments, Cross country skiing and snow shoeing.
